On Our Doorstep.

Luke 10:19-20 (MSG) Jesus said, “…All the same, the great triumph is not in your authority over evil, but in God’s authority over you and presence with you. Not what you do for God but what God does for you – that’s the agenda for rejoicing.”

Thou art here – in heaven, I know, but not from here – 

Although thy separate self do not appear;

If I could part the light from out the day,

There I should have thee! But thou art too near:

How find thee walking, when thou art the way?

Oh, present Christ! Make my eyes keen as strings,

To see thee at their heart, the glory even of things.

Luke 10:9 “God’s Kingdom is right on your doorstep!”

Lord, open our eyes so that we may see. You are the Way, walking with us. Let us rejoice knowing the Creator of the Universe is our Loving Father, never abandoning and ever-present… ‘right on our doorstep’. Amen.
