In His Presence.
“For this reason, they are [standing] before the throne of God; and they serve Him [in worship] day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them and shelter and protect them [with His presence].
“They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any [scorching] heat;
“for the Lamb who is in the center of the throne will be their Shepherd, and He will guide them to springs of the waters of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes [giving them eternal comfort].” -Revelation 7:15-17 (amp)
In His presence, there is Perfect Protection and Provision. What will it take for us to believe this? To Live into Him with our Everything. Let Him be our One True Master.
“Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.
“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. -Romans 12:1-2 (amp)
In essence, do the next Right thing (looking to Him and only Him) so that we can prove to ourselves that He really, truly is Good – His plans and purpose. The temptation to live for the flesh, that which will lead us to emptiness and despair, is coming from within – from ourself, but He is greater if we will only let Him have His way. Will we trust Him? Will we trust that He is Perfectly Enough and Complete in His Love for us? Will we trust He is that Good?
