Plans.

God’s Message: “Don’t let the wise brag of their wisdom. Don’t let heroes brag of their exploits. Don’t let the rich brag of their riches. If you brag, brag of this and this only: That you understand and know me. I’m God, and I act in loyal love. I do what’s right and set things right and fair, and delight in those who do the same things. These are my trademarks.” God’s Decree. “Stay alert! It won’t be long now”—God’s Decree!—“when I will personally deal with everyone whose life is all outside but no inside…” -Jeremiah‬ ‭9:23-26‬ (msg)

I have been thinking about plans lately. I think I might be allergic to them; I say this in jest, but there is some truth in the statement as well. I’ve been holding a bit of a conversation with our Creator around plans, how they shape our physical life, and many, if not most, times our plans have little or nothing to do with our soul. Our plans seem to be all outside but no inside.

That being said, I have been challenged with the task of assessing the motives behind the bits of planning I do, with the help of the Holy Spirit of course – there is no other way to find Truth and see what we are really made of. We believe our own lies/lines much too quickly. (Side note: I love how God reveals Sin in our own beings first so that we can’t become self-righteous.) The message is accessible and welcoming to everyone, across the board. Ephesians 3:6

Back to planning… The journey of discovery that has taken place in my being because of God’s willingness and desire to reveal True Goodness – the Reality not the illusion – to His children has been incredibly enlightening. I encourage anyone to allow the Holy Spirit access to their plans. I pray the journey continues and that the Holy Spirit continues to show me the difference between what is all outside and what will bring Life so that I don’t create unnecessary storms for myself and those around me. Amen.
