1 Corinthians 10.

Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate God confidence… God will never let you down… I don’t want you to become part of something that reduces you to less than yourself. And you can’t have it both ways… But the point isn’t to just get by. We want to live well, but our foremost efforts should be to help others live well… I’m going to stride free and easy, knowing what our large-minded Master has already said… As a matter, do everything that way, heartily and freely to God’s glory. (1 Corinthians 10 msg)

Being His is the highest calling that exists. Don’t settle for less. Paul reminds us once again: we have permission to forget about ourselves and place all our thoughts and confidence in God alone. Sweet Freedom.

“‘I say to you, do not worry about your life.’ Our Lord says to be careful only about one thing – our relationship to Him. But our common sense shouts loudly and says, ‘That is absurd, I must consider what I am going to eat and drink.’ Jesus says you must not. Beware of allowing yourself to think that He says this while not understanding your circumstances. Jesus Christ knows our circumstances better than we do, and He says we must not think about these things to the point where they become the primary concern of our life. Whenever there are competing concerns in your life, be sure you always put your relationship to God first.” -Oswald Chambers
