God’s character is revealed in Jesus. This Truth penetrates… The personal nature of our God is incredible. To come down here and walk among us – As the writer of Hebrews says: What is man and woman that you bother with them; why take a second look their way? You made them not quite as high as angels, bright with Eden’s dawn light; Then you put them in charge of your entire handcrafted world.” -Hebrews 2 (msg)

He came down to show us our true place, higher than the angels – and how to get there… though Christ, surrendering our way for His Way! Oswald Chambers said something along these lines (paraphrased): We (men/women) were given control over all creation – all except our heart – that we were to give to God. 

Paul writes this in Ephesians 5 (msg): “Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.”

The Message of God on display in Christ is certainly one of Hope. I pray you find Hope today, in Him… and then surrender a little deeper into that Hope. Amen.
