Trust.

Hebrews 5:8-9 (msg) Though he was God’s Son, he learned trusting-obedience by what he suffered, just as we do.

We certainly could twist this verse to make it legalistic, OR we could learn to trust God always (1 Corinthians 13:7 msg)… we could learn what it means to walk freely with the Lord. What a miracle that our Lord uses our brokenness, ugliness, and sin for our Good and His Glory. Taking the suffering we heap on each other in our brokenness and using it to teach us trusting-obedience. Teaching us to Walk and Live in Love. Freeing us from the oppression of Sin.

“If we can only keep our grip on the sure thing we started out with…” -Hebrews 3:13 (msg)

“Today, please listen, don’t turn a deaf ear…” – Hebrews 4:7 (msg)

“Take the mercy, accept the help.” – Hebrews 4:16 (msg)

No matter what we go through in this world, God can use it for Good. Jesus took on death by trusting God through His suffering. “By embracing death, taking it into himself, he destroyed the Devil’s hold on death and freed all who cower through life, scared to death of death.”

“He is working in our waiting, sanctifying us. And beyond our understanding, He’s teaching us to trust.” -Sovereign Over Us
