From Isaiah 48:9- (msg) You’ve never been good listeners to me. You have a history of ignoring me, a sorry track record of fickle attachments – rebels from the womb. But out of the sheer goodness of my heart, because of who I am… I don’t wash my hands of you… I’ve refined you, but not without fire. I’ve tested you like silver in the furnace of affliction…

Because of who God is, He will not give up on us – He will not wash His hands of us. Not because of what we have done, but because He is Love. And because He is Love, He will not leave us in our sorry, selfish state either, glory Be! 

Isaiah continues in 51:12 – (msg) I, I’m the One comforting you. What are you afraid of – or who? Some man or woman who’ll soon be dead? Some poor wretch destined for dust? You’ve forgotten me, God, who made you, who unfurled the skies, who founded the earth…

Let us not forget Who Reigns!!

Continued in Isaiah 52:7- (msg) How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger bringing good news, Breaking the news that all’s well, proclaiming good times, announcing salvation, telling Zion, “Your God reigns!”… Purify yourselves in the process of worship… But you don’t have to be in a hurry. You’re not running from anybody!
