What a blessed existence it would truly be to trust our Lord with all our heart and soul and mind, filling our ears and hearts with chatterings of praise and gratitude instead worries and fears for tomorrow.
Thou knowest all our weeping, fainting, striving;
Thou know’st how very hard it is to be;
How hard to rouse faint will not yet reviving;
To do the pure thing, trusting all to thee;
To hold thou art there, through cold and dark and dearth,
That thou art nearer now than when eye-seen on earth.

It is not always easy to choose the pure thing and simply be, trusting all to Thee, but Lord, give us the courage and wisdom to be Yours! Our hope is in You. You will set all things right. Amen.
