Mark 2:27 Then Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath. 

Today I was forced into somewhat of a Sabbath. We all need a day to rest; a day to reconnect with what is most important. God created the world in 6 days and on the 7th day He rested. It would be fairly vain of us to assume we don’t need the day of rest – seeing we are the weaker species… at least I am – I have no plans to create a cosmos in my future. 

Anyway – what a beautiful gift, rest. Something so simple and healing and nourishing to our bodies and souls. It was a gift given to us by our Creator to help us and nurture us; the Sabbath wasn’t supposed to add more demands to our lives but simply replenish us. 

One thing I have learned: There is always time for more Jesus.
