Let’s get out of our tents… The Promise is here!
Psalm 106:24 The people refused to enter the pleasant land, for they wouldn’t believe his promise to care for them. Instead, they grumbled in their tents and refused to obey the Lord.
Mark 1:15 says “The time promised by God has come at last!” — This is the Good News! The time has come! We have been given a renewed opportunity to restore our friendship and relationship with the Creator of the Universe!
Why does this excite me so much?! Because Jesus came down and demonstrated God’s love on this earth and lived so that we might follow His example THEN He dies so that He may send His helper, the Holy Spirit to live within each one of us, restore His light, AND cast out the darkness! Can I get an Amen!?!?!?!?
We don’t have to sit in our ‘tents’ grumbling anymore. We can choose to obey.
John 4:16 We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in His love. We know because of Jesus. The Good News is here. It is for now.
So what does trusting Him look like? A million tiny truths revealed to you moment by moment, day by day, and year by year. A walking and waiting with a Beautiful God means less toiling, more peace. Less crazy, more adventure. Less anger, more understanding. Less doing, more listening. Less pretending to be the savior of the world, and more letting the Savior of the world work through us. The only certainty need be Him. We no longer live and die for man made thoughts and reasons and causes. We trust Him and live and die for Him and share in the Glorious Treasure of life with Him. We receive the gift that has already been bought and paid for – our salvation… (dictionary definition: preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss.)
We can trust Him. God has never failed to fulfill HIs promises.. and His promised are for now.
May God bless you and keep you today.
Today I share God’s artwork in me. I’m so thankful for Him.. His presence and His love. Thank you Father for loving me so completely… despite myself… You never give up on me and You never run out of patience. You continue to reveal yourself to me everyday and everyday I am in awe of you. I love you. Amen.
