Why do we do what we do? The answer to this question matters so much… So much much more than our job title or what we want to be or our plans. In each moment, what or who is guiding our choices? We are confronted with an inestimable number of little and big decisions each day. What is guiding our responses? Fear? Survival? Fun? Logic? Satisfying a desire? The winds of the world? Or are we holding each decision up to Him? Are we living for Him – in every choice. The seemingly little moments matter; they make up the whole.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusted in Thee. (Isa. 26:3)

Our hidden ambitions and intentions we think we can fool others into believing and even ourselves into believing, will someday be brought into the Light. There is no hiding place away from Our Lord, praise Him for this! Because in Him there is perfect peace. He is the reason we are here. 

I know what happens when I follow my own understanding and reasoning, and it is not good – not even little ‘g’ good. But when I hold my life up to Him, well, it just keeps getting better… I’m not talking about worldly better – I’m talking about the beginnings of the ‘perfect peace’ of being His. I am so excited to discover the wonder of being Fully His!
