The Unshakable.
His voice shook the earth [at Mount Sinai] then, but now He has given a promise, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the [starry] heaven.” Now this [expression], “Yet once more,” indicates the removal and final transformation of all those things which can be shaken—that is, of that which has been created—so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe; for our God is [indeed] a consuming fire. -Hebrews 12:26-29 (amp)
And the unshakable will stand for all eternity. All of the garbage of this world will be burned from around us and off of us and from inside us until all that is left is everything Good.
Can it be any comfort to them to be told that God loves them so that He will burn them clean?… They do not want to be clean, and they cannot bear to be tortured. -George MacDonald
But when we finally do decide to care, we find He has cared for us the whole time:
“God has cared to make me for Himself,” says the victor with the white stone, “And has called me that which I like best.” -George MacDonald
Father let your kingdom come – Father let your will be done – on earth as it is right here in our hearts. Amen.
