It recently occurred to me that we assume resting means being horizontal. God, through Jesus, wants to bring us into a Living, Moving, Breathing Rest. As we make sure that every “good” thing is the real thing – meaning as we hold everything up to the light – we will Live in Rest. Confident in the Love of our Father, we learn to walk in trust and hope even in a broken world. Satan will lose control, and God will reign victorious in our entire being – bringing us into rest and completeness in Him. It is a wonderful promise!

God doesn’t care what we do as much as He cares why we do it. For our Good and His Glory. Draw our eyes away from self and lock them on Him. It’s in the small choices that we are raised out of the mire as we faithfully turn to Him and do what is truly ‘Good’… we become His.
