Delight in the Lord!
Though the cherry trees don’t blossom and the strawberries don’t ripen, Though the apples are worm-eaten and the wheat fields stunted, Though the sheep pens are sheepless and the cattle barns empty, I’m singing joyful praise to God. I’m turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God. Counting on God’s Rule to prevail, I take heart and gain strength. I run like a deer. I feel like I’m king of the mountain! (For congregational use, with a full orchestra.) Habakkuk 3:17-19 (msg)
Would you bask with me? Imagining a full orchestra proclaiming God’s rule, allowing our hearts to be strengthened… trusting as the orchestra continues to build. Close your eyes. Even in the midst of complete chaos and ugliness and failure – we can praise God!
Turn cartwheels of joy because we are counting on God’s rule to prevail, not our own!
Wow, did I need this today.
(Pic) Found this picture today and realized how much I’m looking forward to the ‘dog days’ of summer. But! Whatever comes, I will rejoice because of Who is on the throne!
