“I don’t want you to become part of something that reduces you to less than yourself. And you can’t have it both ways…” -1 Corinthians 10:20-21 (msg)

We were each created to reveal the Glory of God. This is no little thing. We, in our very human vessel, were created to be a representation of an omnipotent, omnipresent God. A God of perfect Love and Goodness. 

“Each person is given something to do that shows who God is…” -1 Corinthians 12:6 (msg)

These gifts are not for personal, worldly gain but for the revelation of Christ Jesus in us! “For no matter how significant you are, it is only because of what you are part of.” -1 Corinthians 12:20 (msg)

In verse 10:21, Paul was trying to warn those with ears to hear that the world will reduce us to less than our worth in Christ, exploiting the Perfect and Pure gifts of our Holy God for personal gain and self-gratification. There is so much more to this Life when we take our eyes off of ourselves and turn them toward our Holy and Loving God. 

We must not sell our most Holy Gifts to the cheapest bidders (the world), “squandering what God paid such a high price for…” instead… Let people see God in and through your body.” -1 Corinthians 6:20 (msg)

God loves you… so much… He has beautiful plans for you and me. Don’t let the world reduce you to less than He created you to be. Live simply and love deeply through the power of the Holy Sprit, revealed to us through Christ.
