“God’s right ways will put Zion right again.” -Isaiah 1:26-27 (msg)

Today, I was comforted with the truth that God’s ways are always Righteous. God’s ways are never evil; they are never wicked; His ways always bring Life. For this truth to cease, God would no longer be what God is, pure and undefiled Love. And because God is God, ruler of all, and He is a God of Love – we can rest easy that He will in fact “put Zion right again.” 

Isaiah continues on with some beautiful prophecy and encouragement: 

“Come, let’s climb God’s Mountain, go to the House of the God of Jacob. He’ll show us the way he works so we can live the way we’re made.” Zion’s the source of the revelation. God’s Message comes from Jerusalem. He’ll settle things fairly between nations. He’ll make things right between many peoples. They’ll turn their swords into shovels, their spears into hoes. No more will nation fight nation; they won’t play war anymore. Come, family of Jacob, let’s live in the light of God. -Isaiah‬ ‭2:2-5 (msg)

God will set it right as we Live in His Light! 

Isaiah goes on to talk about the powers of this world failing and falling and says, “If you don’t take your stand in faith, you won’t have a leg to stand on.” -Isaiah 7:9 (msg)

“Plan and plot all you want – nothing will come of it. All your talk is mere talk, empty words, Because when all is said and done, the last word is Immanuel – God-with-us.” -Isaiah 8:10 (msg)

“Don’t be like this people, always afraid somebody is plotting against them. Don’t fear what they fear. Don’t take on their worries. If you’re going to worry, worry about The Holy.” -Isaiah 8:12 (msg)

For every flicker of God light we let into our lives, Love wins. So if we want to worry about something – let us focus on letting more God light in by allowing Him to reign in our lives so that the flicker may become a blaze, lighting up a world filled with darkness. 

And this is why ‘The Son’ came. 

“For a child has been born – for us! The gift of a son – for us! He’ll take over the running of the world. His names will be: Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness. His ruling authority will grow, and there’ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings.” Isaiah 9:5 (msg)

With as much space we give Jesus in our lives, He will use it to bring light and life far exceeding anything we could imagine. Immanuel – God-with-us! He came to fill us with Life, Himself. Our God reigns! Let us celebrate Christmas and the gift of a Son – for us! Amen.
