Transformation.
Jeremiah 31:22 (msg) God will create a new thing in this land: A transformed woman will embrace the transforming God!”
Reading Jeremiah 31 this week, I have been flooded with the Goodness of our God, His Faithfulness and His desire to reveal Himself to us in our hearts. We run; “We flit here and there, indecisive.” Vs 21. And yet, He never gives up on us, instead He proclaims (vs 20): “My dear child in whom I take pleasure! Every time I mention your name, my heart bursts with longing for you! Everything in me cries out for you. Softly and tenderly I wait for you.”
This is where He continues on to vs 22, promising newness of Life, transformation. I know who I was and who I am today and I am so grateful for His faithfulness, His constant guidance and mercy.
In vs 8, He promises to gather up those of us who have ‘gone blind’. Who see this world but are blind to Jesus, blind to His Goodness, blind to Him. He promises to make us new from the inside, I will put my law within them – write it on their hearts! – and be their God. (Vs 33.)
Lord, continue to transform me, making more and more yours everyday. Let your hope and goodness pour out into this world! Amen.
