Freedom, Courage, and Eternity.
“When we are tempted to cling too tightly to comfort, safety, and security in this fallen world, we should remember that we can be truly free only when our desires are anchored in eternity. Otherwise, we are subject to the intimidation and fear, which leads to the opposite of courage – cowardice. The enemy desires to incite and use cowardice to silence our faithful witness for Christ.” -Cole Richards, President of VOM
Galatians 6:15 (msg) Because of that Cross, I have been crucified in relation to the world, set free from the stifling atmosphere of pleasing others and fitting into the little patterns that they dictate.
This quote and scripture gave me courage today. The courage to focus on eternity instead of this world – to embrace my life looking different and not worrying about the patterns of this world but keeping my mind and heart set on what is truly Good.
Thank you Lord for the encouragement and faithfully leading me. Amen.
