I must follow up my post from yesterday (The Character of God) with what God is not, and that is weak. Because of our world and culture we have a tendency to think that those who allow someone to hurt them are cowards and weak… but God is neither, but He DID live out Romans 8:38… “Nothing in all creation can separate us from the Love of God that is revealed to us in Christ Jesus our Lord.” His love is unwavering, infallible, perfect, non-negotiable, and unmerited. He is Love and He loves us, but He is not weak. He has swallowed kingdoms.

Jude writes, in imitation of Christ who is revealing God, “Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high heaven.” -Jude 1:23

God is tender with us sinners, but He is not soft on Sin. He will not stand for what is destroying us… He will get the “hell out of us.” -Tim Mackie

Praise Jesus! We have an Omnipotent God of Love… May we each draw nearer to the source of Life and have peace. Fight to do what is Good – to stay connected to Him.
