Forgiveness… A Casting Out.
Let us consider for a moment a new way of looking at forgiveness, not as a choice to gain us admittance into heaven but a means to remove the evil thing from our hearts, beings, and relationships. A casting out of the evil that caused the repentance from ourselves or from our ‘brothers’. And to consider that we are not forgiven or ‘healed’ (Greek word for forgiven) until the evil is removed – and once the evil be removed, what remains is the Holy Spirit, our new Spirit, communing with Our Creator and Redeemer.
I may possibly expand on this thought – but I must give credit to George MacDonald for the revelation of this truth in my heart… If you would like to read more about it yourself, it comes from his ‘Unspoken Sermons’, ‘It Shall Not Be Forgiven’ based on the Luke 12:10, Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. There is so much more to his sermon, but I wanted to share this thought with you. There can be no casting out of darkness where there is no light.
Praise You Lord for Your Forgiveness.
