Death to Life.
John 12:24 I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels – a plentiful harvest of new lives.
After writing the post from yesterday, it really marinated in my heart… and as it simmered, I felt called to continue or perhaps finish the post today with the above verse. The original post is titled, ‘God Won’t Settle’ in case you would like to go back and read first.
It is a lonely world without Him. No matter how many friends or family we may have or how many things (good or bad) we have to do to keep us distracted from what is missing. At some point, we will stop and realize we are all alone in a great big world. But, and this is a huge but!, when we cast our eyes upon The Loving Father, the Creator of All Good Things, in that very moment when we have quit focusing on ourselves and how everything that happens is affecting self, and we can finally embrace the Love and Truth that has existed from the beginning, we will find ourselves Alive for the first time – we die to self, we die to sin – and “in death we turn to gold.” -Sarah Sparks
Jesus ‘tells us the truth’, we must die or remain alone… but our death will produce new lives!… not even just singular. When we give up self, when we give up all the things that are making us empty anyway – we will find all that we were ever searching for… and that Life will continue to spread and bring New Life.
God loves us too much to settle with giving us anything but what is best. He wants to give us Himself so that we may have joy that will overflow. A relationship with The Creator opens our eyes to all that was ever missing aka Life and closes the door on all that is not Good aka sin.
Luke 1:45 You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what He said.
