In Him We Live.
Acts 17:25 & 28 “and human hands can’t serve his needs– for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and He satisfies every need. … For in Him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are His offspring.’
Apart from God, there is no life. It is such an accurate description to call life with Jesus – the Upside Down Kingdom. Turns out I was barking up the wrong tree to have my needs satisfied; I kept coming up empty until I discovered Him… until I put my hope and trust in Him.
I found this old, knick-knack sign that had fallen behind my piano – it says, ‘I Hope You Dance.’ I love to dance. I got this years ago before I really discovered what it meant to dance, soul-free dance – when you take your eyes off yourself and the world and turn them fully to Jesus kind of dance. The other day I was dancing outside in the snow, leaping, spinning, playing, and I opened my arms to the sky. A perfect eagle-cloud with outstretched-wings was echoing back at me… but only for a moment as the clouds blew through. It was incredible.
I am so thankful for the Life that Jesus continues to unfold in front of me. Affirmation after affirmation continue to reassure me that He truly is enough. ‘In Him, we live and move and exist.’ He is the key to life. He is the answer to every prayer.
The world says one thing and does the opposite – where as with Jesus, Truth is to be lived. He is Truth, and He is Life.
