Prayer. And Special Music.
Satan dreads nothing but prayer… The Church that lost its Christ was full of good works. Activities are multiplied that meditation may be ousted, and organizations are increased that prayer may have no chance. Souls may be lost in good works, as surely as in evil ways. The one concern of the devil is to keep saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray. – Samuel Chadwick
I’m reading ‘The Possibilities of Prayer’ by E.M. Bounds. I’m only half-way through but so far his main idea is that prayer opens the gates to and directs God’s glory on this Earth. Prayer is the single, most powerful act and allows us access to God’s promises – All His promises, outlined throughout the Bible. Promises that bring life and healing to this broken world.
Lord, help my unbelief. Fill me with your Spirit Lord and keep me steadfast in unending prayer and communion with You. Thank You Lord for loving us so mercifully – and for not giving up on us. I love You. Amen.
“The thing surpasses all my thought, But faithful is my Lord; Through unbelief I stagger not, For God hath spoke the word. Faith, mighty faith, the promise sees, And looks to that alone; Laughs at impossibilities, And cries, ‘It shall be done!’ “ – Bounds
And a little special music.
