Hey All! I have a special request before you begin day 44. Please make sure the children are understanding and practicing what they are learning. The worksheets don’t take long, but it’s not the point – they need to practice their writing, reading, math. This can be a beautiful thing. I will continue to pour my heart into your child’s education when they are at school – I really need your support at home. As they mature, I want them to understand that they are not entitled to an education, but that it is a privilege and a beautiful gift. I know it’s not easy, but I pray we can rise to the challenge.

We are on day 44.

READING:  For reading we do a timed reading out of the readers for 30 minutes. Each child reads aloud to me during this time at some point. K & 1st graders read day 44 from ‘The Giant Leap’ – plus anything they can read on their own from previous lessons and the Big Step, (they also read for 30 minutes).

READER WORKBOOK: Continue on with the next day.

MATH: Complete Day 44. Collect money from around the house and start counting! (Grade 6, complete day 34 and catch up in the front review.) PLUS: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders do 1 column of math worksheet. 2nd and 3rd do 4×0 to 4×12 . K & 1st graders write numbers, work on the value of coins and writing penny = 1, nickel =5, dime=10, quarter=25. Make sure they understand the values and can begin to count money.

LANGUAGE ARTS: Complete Day 44. You can use Allinonehomeschool.com and find the language arts day 44 for your child’s level and there are additional instructions/videos if you would like. 

Spelling: Everyone was given spelling words this week. K-1 use list. 2+ Please use the words from language arts book. If there are none on that specific day, use the previous day/s words. Please write each one 3 times and practice signing them. You may also use words from reader workbook or bible if you are not feeling challenged.

Write Bible Verse: John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. (Grades 2+ please write in cursive.) Grades 3+ please also write and read in Spanish. Juan 8:36 Así que, si el hijo los hace libres, ustedes son verdaderamente libres.

SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES/Bible: Genesis Curriculum book day 44. All grades. Be sure to read the Bible passage as well.
