On Halloween, we were given the opportunity to play music and donate books for a ‘Shine’ event, put on by the Assembly of God church in Watertown, SD.

The event was to last three hours… we thought we would maybe play music for an hour… max… but! The most amazing thing happened… together, with the spirit filled, lovers of Jesus from Assembly of God, we all served with excitement and thankfulness for the full event. Singing and running up and down the street handing out treats, books and messages of Our Father’s Love. The kids even joined in on a few songs!

The children and adults waved and smiled sang and shined light on the sidewalk in front of the church. Even cars that didn’t stop honked, waved, and smiled with appreciation… and for the people who did stop, they received both treats and God’s beautiful hope.

We couldn’t have been more blessed to be part of this ministry.

We ended the evening playing music and sharing books at a farm celebration a short drive north. Here we were met with a room full of people celebrating the Love of Our God and Savior. Their voices joined ours as we praised God in song and the room echoed with celebration. It was so beautiful. The message and food that followed sealed our day with a kiss from above. (We do not have any pics from this event… sorry!)

It is such a blessing to be part of His Kingdom… and we are so eternally thankful for our brothers and sisters in Christ who remind us that we are not alone and He is so much bigger and more beautiful than we could ever imagine.
