HomeSchool Friday. November 13. Day 49.
Hey All! Please remember to practice with your children – reading, math facts, writing. One of the biggest, if not the biggest, benefit of homeschool Fridays is that you are able to assess your child’s progress each week and work on things they are struggling with. I ask that you not only read with your child/ren on Friday, but every day, even and especially during the week. Starting next week, I will be sending books home with each child to read each evening. We don’t have much for homework so to speak; please let me know if you have any concerns.
We are on day 49 this Friday.
READING: For reading we do a timed reading out of the readers for 30 minutes. Each child reads aloud to me during this time at some point. K & 1st graders read day 49 from ‘The Giant Leap’ – plus anything they can read on their own from previous lessons and the Big Step, (they also read for 30 minutes).
READER WORKBOOK: Continue on with the next day.
MATH: Complete Day 49. (Grade 6, complete day 37 and catch up in the front review.) PLUS: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders do 1 column of math worksheet. 2nd and 3rd do 5×0 to 5×12 . K & 1st graders write 10 to 15 addition math sentences (ex. 2+4=6) by rolling two dice and finding the sum.
LANGUAGE ARTS: Complete Day 49. Grade 6+ – Finish your presentation for Monday. You can use Allinonehomeschool.com and find the language arts day 49 for your child’s level and there are additional instructions/videos if you would like.
Spelling: Everyone was given spelling words this week. K-1 use list. 2+ Please use the words from language arts book. If there are none on that specific day, use the previous day/s words. Please write each one 3 times and practice signing them. You may also use words from reader workbook, Genesis Curriculum, or bible if you are not feeling challenged.
Write Bible Verse: Review sheet: Pick ANY verse and write in cursive. (2+ in cursive) and (3+ write/read Spanish version as well)
SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES/Bible: Genesis Curriculum book day 49. All grades. Be sure to read the Bible passage as well.
Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks.
Enjoy a few fun pics from the week.
