Real and Eternal.
Paul, a bond-servant of God and an apostle (special messenger, personally chosen representative) of Jesus Christ, for the faith of God’s chosen ones and [to lead and encourage them to recognize and pursue] the knowledge of the truth which leads to godliness, based on the hope and divine guarantee of eternal life, [the life] which God, who is ever truthful and without deceit, promised before the ages of time began, and at the appointed time has made known His word and revealed it as His message, through preaching, which was entrusted to me according to the command of God our Savior— To Titus, my true child in a common faith: Grace and peace [inner calm and spiritual well-being] from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior. -Titus 1:1-4 AMP
…for the faith of God’s chosen ones and the knowledge of truth which leads to godliness, based on the hope and divine guarantee of eternal life…
There is a knowledge of truth that leads to godliness, and this knowledge is based on the hope and divine guarantee of eternal life.
It says in Titus that we are to encourage each other to [recognize and pursue this knowledge] – we ourselves not being able to bestow this knowledge because, I have come to find, this knowledge far surpasses our language barriers. But! We can encourage each other to pursue that knowledge that directly leads to an unearthly reality… a godliness… an understanding beyond our tactile reasoning. And this godliness, this greater knowledge, is directly linked to His promise of eternal life. We must allow Him grow us beyond ourselves, make us bigger so to speak, so that we may Live!
“Listen carefully: Unless a grain of wheat is buried in the ground, dead to the world, it is never any more than a grain of wheat. But if it is buried, it sprouts and reproduces itself many times over. In the same way, anyone who holds on to life just as it is destroys that life. But if you let it go, reckless in your love, you’ll have it forever, real and eternal.” -Jesus (John 12:24-25 msg)
Real and Eternal. Yes.
