The Gift.

Luke 1:76-79 “And you, my little son, will be called the prophet of the Most High, because you will prepare the way for the Lord. You will tell his people how to find salvation through the forgiveness of their sins. Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.”

Salvation through the forgiveness of sins. It really does sound too good to be true. Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in this shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.

One thing I’ve noticed since walking with Jesus is that our human tendency is to make everything super complicated. Jesus comes with the Good News; You want salvation? You want eternal life? Believe that I have come down to show you just how much God loves you. Through me, your sins are forgiven. Believe in me… walk in the light and I will guide you to peace.

Nothing like having the greatest gift ever known to man given to us for no reason other than the Love and tender mercy of a Father. This one can’t be earned folks – it truly is a gift, in every sense of the word. No tricks, catches, or dues – simply accept it and let Him lead you down a path that will free you from this world. Satan tries to make it seem or look really complicated, but in the light of His Love, we can see just how simple it really is. Bask in it. He loves you… and me.
